How to Set and Meet Your Business Goals

It’s important to have realistic and obtainable goals in your business. These goals can be financial, personal, or simply involve an aspect of your business (“build an effective website” for example). It can sometimes seem overwhelming to determine goals, and even more overwhelming to think of achieving them. Here are some tips on doing both of these.

1. Set The Goals

How do you set business goals, anyway? As you sit down to determine your goals, here are some things to keep in mind that may help.

* Money – How much money do you need? Have a number here – $1500 a month? $100 a week? $50,000 a year? Financial goals are very different for everyone. Just Goal Settingmake sure you have a real number. You might want to set two financial goals – long-term and short-term.

* Strategy – As you develop a strategy to reach your goals, you will have goals within that strategy. For example, if your goal is to start your own small business making hand-sewn handbags, then your strategy may be to make ten handbags to have available before beginning and to sell all ten in your first month.

Within this strategy, there are steps – you will need to schedule in the time it takes to make the handbags, and determine the amount of money needed to buy the materials. Then you may also need to set up a website and post ads to get the word out. Even within these steps are more steps – setting up a website involves multiple steps, as does advertising. Break everything down into small, specific steps and look at it on paper.

* Time – Be honest about how much time you have. So many times it’s tempting to set goals we can’t reach because we just don’t have a grasp on how much (or Goal setting - SMARThow little) time we have. Also, hours on paper seldom work out exactly right in real life – you need some breaks (no one is a machine), and life happens.

For example, if your kids are in school from 8am to 3pm, you may think you have seven hours to work that day. But if you’re honest, it may be more like five by the time you factor in lunch, bathroom trips, driving to and from the school if you drive your kids, and so forth.

2. Achieve The Goals

If you have been honest in the above exercises, achieving your goals will be much easier and likely. Still, you can be as detailed and careful as you want on A Goal without a plan is just a wish!strategy lists and such, and still have trouble reaching your goals. So it may help to keep the following in mind.

* Keep track – Keeping a record of your business ventures, expenditures, income, and overall progress toward your goals can help you get a handle on how well you’re doing. This can also help you see areas in which you need to improve, and areas where you excel.

* Accountability – Some sources suggest an accountability partner, goal buddy, or whatever you want to call someone who holds you accountable for reaching your goals.

* Marketing – It is important to have a marketing plan. How will you get your name out? How will you tell people you are open for business? This is an important component to any business goal.

Making Exercise More Fun

Bored ManNothing beats waking up in the morning with the thought of going to the gym to lift weights or jog on the treadmill. After a hard days work, the gym is one place you don’t even want to think about. Sometimes, even the thought of exercising at home with your own equipment can be less than desirable.

Sometimes, just trying to get and stay motivated to exercise on a regular basis can be a challenge. No matter how you look at it, exercise can be down right
boring and even tedious at times.

So, you may be wondering just how you can get the motivation you need to exercise on a regular basis. If you’ve been wondering what you can do to make
exercise more fun, you’ll find some ideas below that just may help to make exercise more fun and a little bit easier.

Exercise With A Friend

Two people jogging on a roadFirst things first, you should exercise with a friend. You can challenge each other, help each other out, keep each other motivated and on track, make each other laugh or just make a game out of your exercise programs.

You can also try something different. If you go to the gym each and every day and use the same piece of equipment or use the same piece of equipment at home, you should try mixing things up. Reverse your routine or just change the order of your exercises.

Try The Park……………..

Go to a city park that has playground equipment and use the slide, climb on the monkey bars, do pull-ups, hang from your knees, just let your imagination
guide you. You don’t always need to follow a strict routine, just get out there and have fun working your muscles.

Jog 100 feet then drop and do a couple of push ups, walk the next 100 feet and then drop to do sit ups.

You can also ride a bike around your neighborhood or hike on a hiking trail. A walk in the park or around your neighborhood is also a great way to get some exercise. Doing yoga in the park or on a beach is also a nice and relaxing way to exercise both your body and your mind.

Playing a competitive sport is also something you can try. A lot of cities have team activities such as softball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, and so on. These types of activities will not only provide you with good exercise but they will
also help you to meet new people as well.

When You Exercise, Picture Yourself…………

When you exercise, try to picture your muscles getting bigger. Research has personal goals 1. go to the gym 2. eat healthy 3. be awesomeshown that if you focus all of your thoughts on the muscles that you are working, they will respond better. Try to watch them work with each repetition as your
muscles contract and relax.

As you can tell, there are plenty of ways you can make exercise more fun and interesting. You don’ t need to follow the same routine day after day,
as you can do many other things to get in some exercise.

How to Do More In Less Time

This is a good news bad news situation. The bad news is that time flies. The good news is that you’re the pilot.

Does that make sense?

The truth is that there’ll never be enough time in a day to do all that you want to do… unless you’re not doing anything. But then you won’t be reading this.

The key to succeeding and achieving your goals will be to do as much as possible with the time that you have available to you. Every minute is precious and should not be squandered away.

Achieving balance in life is extremely difficult. You may have work commitments, family responsibilities and you’ll also need to find the time to exercise and stay healthy. It’s like a juggling act on a tightrope. You have to have laser-like focus to get to where you want to go.

Follow the 6 steps below to get as many things done in the shortest possible time.

  • Don’t Let The Distractions Distract You

Social media, the TV, advertisements, the usual dramas in real life, etc. are all waiting to suck up your time. You do not have time to give too much attention to any of these. The occasional indulgence is fine but you will need to shut them off when you’re at work.

You need to starve your distractions and feed your focus. That’s one of the best ways to have more time to do what you need to.

Do the most important tasks first. People usually have it backwards. They do the less important tasks and then struggle to complete what really needs their focus.

You may realize that you get most of your work done at certain times. So, plan your day in a way where you can work in bursts during times when you’re most productive. You might get a ton of stuff done from 5am to 9am. If that’s the case, then give it your all during this time.

  • You Are More Productive When You Are Well-Rested

Rest is underrated. With all the talk about hustling, people often think that they need to work themselves to the bone. This is unnecessary. You work faster and feel better when you are well-rested.

Take mini-breaks throughout the day. Don’t stare at the computer for hours like a zombie. Get up and move about for 5 or 10 minutes every hour. This will get your blood circulating and keep your alert. You will get more work completed.

If you have an online business, automate whatever mundane tasks that you can. This will free up more time. If you have the cash to spare, find a good freelance or virtual assistant to handle support or other issues that do not require your attention all the time.

If you like aerobic exercise, you should grab a partner and have a blast with one of the basic aerobic videos. Or, you can simply go out for a walk and enjoy spending time together. As you may have heard, walking really is the best overall exercise you can do for your health. As long as you have a pair of walking shoes, you’ll be fine.

or moving the item towards you with your foot. While you are sitting, you should also do some simple and quick stretches for your neck and shoulders.

If you enjoy sitting around watching television, you should consider buying a jogging board. These padded boards will make running, jumping, or walking in place less stressful on your knees and joints. They are easy to store as well and also very portable.

In many people’s opinions, jogging boards are the best pieces of equipment you can buy. They are also far cheaper than bulky treadmills and stationary bikes.

Walking is by far the best, as you can easily lose yourself and your troubles by walking. Even if it is just around the block, walking can do wonders for your health as well as stress.

If you have a lot of stress in your life, you may want to consider a gym. Working out then sitting in the sauna is also a good way to relieve tension. If your gym has a pool, you may find swimming to be very beneficial as well, as it helps you to relax.

How to Make a Living and Have a Life

We live in a world where success is measured by the amount we earn and the possessions we own. People who make six figure incomes and live in mansions are looked up to… while those who earn a minimum wage are looked down on.

Because of this millions of people struggle to do well in their careers so that they can afford the finer things in life. There is nothing wrong with this and in fact it is admirable.

However, many people end up being so obsessed with their work and money that they sacrifice everything else to get to their goals. They’re so busy making a living that they forget to make a life.

They let their health slide. Their relationships deteriorate… and finally when they have their wealth, they see that they’ve lost everything else. This happens way more often than people realize.

Life is all about balance. This article will show you how you can find peace and balance in a world where everyone is talking about ‘hustling’ and ‘grinding’ just to get rich.

  • Balance is EVERYTHING!!!!!

The most important point to note is that you need to know why you’re doing what you do. If you’re trying to provide a better life for your family, that’s great… but don’t do it at the expense of your family. Maintain balance and set time aside to be with your partner or spouse and kids.

The same applies to your health. Watch what you eat and spend about 30 minutes a day on exercise. That’s just 2 percent of your day. Do not tell yourself that you will take care of your health once you’re rich.

  • You’re Not Getting Out Alive

Always remember that you’re not getting out of life alive. Every one of us has got to go one day. When that happens, you can’t take your wealth or accolades or anything with you.

Once you understand your own mortality, you’ll realize that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

So, get your priorities right.

  • It’s Not All About The Hustle

There are many self-help and business gurus who keep ranting away that one needs to hustle and work as hard as they can to reach their goals. These gurus make it look like being obsessed with your job and business is a good thing.

This is not good advice for most people who just want a little more money to feel more financially secure. Do what you need to in order to get to a point where you feel happy and comfortable.

If your working hours is making you feel sick and exhausted all the time, you need to ease up. If you and your spouse seem like strangers because work takes up all of your time, you need to reevaluate your life.

  • Simplicity and Peace of Mind

The mansions, flashy cars and sexy women that’s so often portrayed in the media as the symbols of success is not what life is really about. Peace of mind is everything. There are thousands of wealthy people who are miserable.

Aim for peace of mind. Keep your work, health and relationships in balance.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, then dies having never really lived.”
