Natural weight loss can mean different things to different people. One dietitian has defined it as being the opposite of natural weight gain! Simply put, natural weight loss is the means of losing weight without the use of extreme diets, pills or supplements or other severe measures. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to lose weight without the use of pills, supplements and starvation diets.

Losing weight naturally is closely associated with a healthy lifestyle and sleeping properly as well as proper diet and exercise. Advocates of natural weight loss see it as a way of life and a long term lifestyle change rather than something short term. The techniques to help ensure it are not new – they have been practiced for many years.

Eat Five or Six Small Meals

Of course, eating healthily is one of the best ways to lose weight safely and efficiently. Try to change your meal routine by eating five or six small meals in a day instead of the normal three. Eating this way will maintain metabolism throughout the day and ensure better absorption of nutrients.

Try to eat natural foods rather than processed foods which contain additives and excess sodium. The liver burns most of the body’s fat and foods laden with additives are bad for the liver. Vegetables and fruit, seeds and grain are all recommended as part of a natural diet. Try to limit your intake of foods which contain large amounts of trans fat and saturated fats.

Drink Lots of Water

Consumption of water is particularly important when it comes to a natural and healthy weight loss program. Experts recommend drinking eight glasses of water throughout the day, especially first thing in the morning and in the evening. A glass of water in the evening can reduce the appetite during the evening – and you are also more likely to awaken refreshed and relaxed.

And it’s a particularly difficult habit to break, but try drinking water instead of soda or coffee. Increased water intake will actually help you look and feel better over a period of time, as well as contribute towards long term weight loss.

Exercise, Exercise, Exercise

Exercise is important – basic cardiovascular exercise such as walking can contribute to natural weight loss without the need for extreme workouts. For more effective and long term natural weight loss, jogging, cycling or lifting weights are all highly effective methods of cardio exercise.

Sleep is particularly important when it comes to losing weight naturally. Recent studies in Japan indicate that people who regularly get an extra two hours sleep every night tend to experience a proven weight loss over a period of just a few weeks.

Of course, most of us regularly don’t get enough sleep and shortage of sleep produces hormones that increase the appetite. Studies have shown that loss of sleep can increase the body’s storage of fat and affect the secretion of hormones that help regulate food cravings. Extra sleep results in a balance of hormones – meaning you basically feel less hungry.

Healthy Lifestyle, Healthy Diet and Basic Exercise Will Help You Lose Weight.

Natural weight loss seems to have been overlooked amidst all the extreme diets, fads and celebrity-endorsed products that are readily available today. A combination of a healthy lifestyle, healthy diet and basic exercise will all lead to the results most of us desire – lower weight over an extended period of time.

Now That I Have To Eat Salads, Any Suggestions?

When people resolve to lose weight, they know snacks and junk foods will have to be eliminated and replaced with salads and fruit. In order to stay on such a dietetic resolution it is imperative that the meals be enjoyed.

Of course, it’s easy as pie to peel a banana or grab an apple and enjoy the delicious flavors of these and several other fruits without the hassle of preparation. However, everyone knows that we still need our vegetables as some nutrients which may be lacking in fruits are very much more present in these substances.

Moreover, when it comes to weight loss, as we detoxify with exercise and diet, it is imperative that the body is nourished and provided with as much essential substances as possible to maintain adequate health and wellness. These are abundant in green leaves and vegetables and in addition to this; these substances possess the fibrous qualities to serve as intestinal brooms for ridding the body of excess debris.

But how many people do you know that just grab plain lettuce or cabbage and chew on these items like rabbits? Even if you came across someone so inclined, I bet you they wouldn’t last long on such a practice. But still we need the vegetables. So how does one ensure to get them and enjoy them as we go on a weight loss diet?

Perhaps the tastiest and most creative way will be by eating salads.
Now, to enjoy them and to be able to have fun making them on your own for saving money and knowing exactly what is in your meal, here are some tips and recipes that should come in handy.

Ensure to chop the base vegetables all to the same size to allow the flavors to intermingle. When making for the whole family you can double the ingredients in the recipes and increase the vegetables.

Great choices for base vegetables for salads are Lettuce, Cabbage and Kale.
You can augment these with fruit vegetables like Cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes etc or root vegetables like carrots or plain celery.

For a dressing, you can use any choice of the following to enjoy your salads while you go on a diet for weight loss

1. Tom-Avo
-2 organic Roma or Hot House tomatoes
-2 big Avocadoes (pitted)
-2 tsp orange juice (freshly squeezed) 2 oz of water

Serving Suggestion: Chop some Red Cabbage say a cup or less finely and sprinkle into the soup
2. The Real Ranch Dressing:
-2 medium sized tomatoes
-2 young coconuts
-1/2 tsp of salt
-6 organic sun dried tomatoes
-I stalk of Celery
-1 tbs of lemon juice (optional)

Blend all and use as a dressing for a lettuce based salad. (Note: I recommend using one base leafy vegetable at a time, if desired a fruit veggie like cucumbers or organic bell peppers can be used along with shredded carrots)

3. Guacamole:
-2 avocadoes
-2 medium tomatoes
-1/2 orange
-Sea salt to taste
Process everything in your food processor.
I would say this can be an excellent first food for a child in the evenings. Serve in lettuce leaves or largely cut cabbage leaves a la Tortilla chips and dips.

4. Dress Down Dressing:
-1/2 lemon
-2-3 avocadoes
-Sea Salt to taste
-1/2 cup water

With the suggestions above, now that you may have to include more salads and vegetables into your diet for a safe and healthy weight loss, these delicious recipes will ensure that you not only enjoy how you make your meals but most importantly that they taste good. This way you can stay on your weight loss program and still not compromise tasty meals per-se.

Well, enjoy your salads and have fun working out later on.

Have A Great Day!

Exercise And Stress

man and woman stretchingEven though exercise may not be the most exciting word in your vocabulary, it sure is a word with a lot of benefits. Participating in daily work outs will not only make you healthier in general, but it can also diminish the effects of stress on your body as well.

Think about all the times you have heard someone say “the doctor says it’s stress related”. Normally people will laugh it off, concluding that doctors
say that when they don’t know the real answers or diagnosis. The truth of the matter is that too much stress will play a role in many diseases.

and walking. There’s really no need to buy any expensive equipment either, as you can implement more movement into your daily routine and reap the benefits.

If you like aerobic exercise, you should grab a partner and have a blast with one of the basic aerobic videos. Or, you can simply go out for a walk and enjoy spending time together. As you may have heard, walking really is the best overall exercise you can do for your health. As long as you have a pair of walking shoes, you’ll be fine.

or moving the item towards you with your foot. While you are sitting, you should also do some simple and quick stretches for your neck and shoulders.

If you enjoy sitting around watching television, you should consider buying a jogging board. These padded boards will make running, jumping, or walking in place less stressful on your knees and joints. They are easy to store as well and also very portable.

In many people’s opinions, jogging boards are the best pieces of equipment you can buy. They are also far cheaper than bulky treadmills and stationary bikes.

Walking is by far the best, as you can easily lose yourself and your troubles by walking. Even if it is just around the block, walking can do wonders for your health as well as stress.

If you have a lot of stress in your life, you may want to consider a gym. Working out then sitting in the sauna is also a good way to relieve tension. If your gym has a pool, you may find swimming to be very beneficial as well, as it helps you to relax.

Doing What Matters When It Matters

Doing what matters is so important that it literally determines if you’ll succeed or just spin your wheels and go nowhere. The world is full of people who are always finishing projectsbusy and doing things that’s supposed to take them places… but they have no results to show for it.
It always seems like they’re not going anywhere but they can’t wait to get there. The reason for this is that they mistake activity for work. For example, if you want to lose weight, what really matters is that you workout and watch your calories.
Reading a ton of nutrition books, spending hours on YouTube picking up diet tips and joining a gym will not make you lose weight. What really matters is the training and what you’re eating.
That’s really all it is… and so many people don’t get it. They overwhelm themselves with too much information without taking the right action. The 5 tips below will tell you exactly what you need to do to actually succeed.

Three Tasks A Day

Don’t make a list of 275 things to get done. That’s enough to overwhelm anyone. Start with just 3 tasks… and it must be 3 important tasks. If you’re trying to lose finish what you started!weight, the 3 tasks might be a 20 minute stamina workout, intermittent fasting for that day and sleeping early so that you get sufficient rest.
All you need to do is do these 3 tasks. That’s it. If you did them over and over, you will reach your weight loss goal.
Don’t give yourself too much work such as studying blood type diets, seeing if the Jupiter is in alignment with Mars so that your chakras will be activated during your yoga session, etc.
All levity aside… focus on just 3 important tasks a day.

Doing Just Enough To Be A Little Uncomfortable

You must be challenged in order to grow. If you’re trying to build a business online, that may mean writing 2,000 words of content a day. Once you get used to creating this much content with ease, you may wish to push yourself a little and aim for 2,500 words.
You want to be making gradual progress. Over time, you’ll be amazed at how it all adds up.
The same applies to your fitness. If you can only run for 10 minutes on the treadmill, that’s ok. With each workout, try and increase the duration by 20 seconds. The difference will be a little uncomfortable but it won’t be so bad that it scares you. Make measurable progress in reasonable time.

Do The Most Difficult Task First

It’s human nature to do everything else but the most difficult task. You might decide to rearrange your desk or sort out your folders in your computer when accomplished filewhat you really need to do is analyze the statistics in your advertising account.
The mind tries to escape the difficult tasks. Your job is to do them first. Forget everything else and just do the most difficult task at once. Focus on that. Once that is complete, it’ll be a weight off your chest and the rest of the lesser tasks will be completed with ease.

Activity And Work Are Two Different Things

As mentioned earlier, you must know the difference. Streamline your life so that you’re only doing what matters. Do not do unnecessary stuff. Eliminate all the trivial jobs that don’t contribute to your progress.
Then you’ll have more time to do what matters.

Know When To Take A Break

Music is the space between the notes. Take short breaks every time you feel a got it donelittle tired. This will keep you focused and more energetic to complete the important stuff. That’s really all there is to it.

Create Minimal Stress by Managing Life Changes

While few things are more certain in life than change, that does not necessarily make dealing with change any easier. When change comes your way, you might stress and all the things that cause stressneed some stress management techniques to help get you through it. And maybe next time you’re coping with a life change it will be a bit easier to handle.

1. Let yourself feel the sense of loss, grief, hurt, anger, pain, or other emotions that the life change brings on. It may be a costly mistake in terms of your emotional and even physical health if you stifle your feelings, or tell yourself you “shouldn’t” be feeling the things you do. Go ahead and let yourself experience the emotions, and don’t judge yourself.  (Really, Really Important!)

2. Don’t wallow in those negative emotions, either. While honestly experiencing those feelings is healthy, dwelling on them for a long time (years, perhaps) and allowing them to make you bitter and angry is not optimal. If you need to, seek professional help in letting those feelings go after experiencing them.

You might consider keeping a journal or doing artwork to get through the All the types of stressemotional difficulties. These creative activities can be helpful, because you have to “feel” the emotion to write, draw, paint, or sculpt; but then the feelings are worked out and transformed into something tangible.

3. Try to see the life change in a positive light. Go ahead and embrace the change rather than trying to hide or run from it. Accept it, and you may find a sense of freedom.

4. It’s okay to say “no” to some activities so that you can get some extra rest. Excessive sleeping can be a sign of serious depression, but getting some extra rest during a time of upheaval and change may actually be healthy and help you cope better.

5. Remember who you are. Your identity, interests, life goals, and so forth are important to remember during times of change. They are like your Stress management written on a chalkboardanchors. A life change may actually bring on a reassessment of these things, and that can be healthy, too. Maybe you need to face some fears and anxieties you have about change in general. Now is the time to do it.

Things to Avoid

It’s also worth noting some not-so-healthy ways of coping with life changes and the stress that may bring. Some destructive coping strategies to avoid include:

* Drinking alcohol
* Smoking
* Spending money on things you don’t really need
* Gambling
* Overeating
* Starving yourself
* Procrastination

Healthy Stress vs. Unhealthy Stress

The phrase “healthy stress” may seem like an oxymoron, but it’s actually a reality. Stress is inescapable; everyone feels some stress at some points throughout their Controlling stresslives. Our bodies are therefore equipped to handle certain types and amounts of stress. We can even benefit from it.

So what is the difference between healthy and unhealthy stress? What makes stress healthy? Here are some things to think about regarding stress and its role in your health.

Healthy Stress  (Eustress)

The Great Motivator

Without stress, not very much would get done. Stress is what drives you to teach your kids proper behavior, to earn money, and to pay your bills on time. It is what keeps you on your toes in a football game or when catching your tumbling toddler. A certain amount of stress about traffic accidents motivates you to drive safely.

Reaction Time

Did you feel stress when that person cut you off in traffic? The stress response was partially responsible for your quick pressure on the brakes! Stress can motivate us into quick, sometimes life-saving action. In the case of an emergency, one of your stress hormones – adrenaline – kicks in, and prompts you to act quickly and sometimes with remarkable strength.

Endorphins

Endorphins are the “feel good” neurotransmitters. When the body is stressed or types of stress in pain, its natural pain relievers are released in the form of endorphins. Exercise is a healthy way to bring this kind of endorphin-releasing stress onto your body. While you should not exercise to the point of unbearable pain, it’s okay to “feel the burn” and push yourself a little. Massage therapy and acupuncture can also stimulate the release of endorphins.

Other Health Benefits

Experts are finding anti-tumor activity in people who undergo healthy stress, indicating that healthy stress stimulates the immune system.

Unhealthy Stress (Distress)

Constant

The unhealthy type of stress is constant. You do not return to a normal energy level after it has passed. Unhealthy stress can take the form of constant worry, depression, and exhaustion. It can cause weight gain as well due to the release of cortisol, the “stress hormone.”

Immunity

Continual stress weakens the immune system. That can leave you more susceptible to everyday illnesses and more serious problems such as cancer. (As a cancer survivor my doctor and I both believe this was the main contributing factor in my diagnosis!)

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

People who are chronically stressed usually worry about common, everyday things over which they have no control. These are the kinds of things that are REDUCE STRESS written on notebook papernot going to go away, such as paying bills, keeping the house clean, and so forth. Once one set of worries is tackled, another set comes along. Accepting these annoyances as part of life can go a long way in helping you cope with unhealthy stress.

Develop Self-Discipline To Get Fit and Wealthy In Record Time

Self-discipline can be summarized in one sentence – “It’s choosing between what you want now and what you want most. In order to succeed in your business in Increase your self disciplineany endeavor in life, self-discipline is of utmost importance.

There will be temptations that beset you at every turn. There will be days when every bone in your body tells you to skip that workout or take a break from work. Are you going to give in to them?

Self-discipline is about not letting these temptations and limiting thoughts deter you from doing what you need to do. It will keep you on track and when you’re feeling like binge eating or slacking off in front of the couch, self-discipline will make you rein in your thoughts and give you the grim determination to do what’s right for you to achieve your goals.

If you looked at any of the most successful people, you realize that they sacrificed a lot to get to where they were. Their compliance rate was high. If they needed to do ten things, they’d do all ten. Not nine. Not seven.

All Ten.

That’s self-discipline. You want to be like them and this article will give you a few tips that will help you stay focused and control your mind. Once you learn to respect yourself and your efforts, your life will change tremendously.

  • Remove Temptations

Do NOT tempt yourself. Far too many people overestimate their will power. If you’re on diet, empty your fridge of all processed foods and junk food. Only keep healthy foods inside.

If you ever have food cravings in the middle of the night, you won’t have anything unhealthy to binge on. You’ll be much more likely to stay on track with your diet.

The same applies to your work. Do not log into Facebook or turn on the TV just to have background noise. You will end up distracted and lose precious time that could have been better used to build your business.

  • Remind Yourself Why

In a second’s decision your destiny is made. Whenever you are faced with a It Starts with youtemptation, ask yourself why you started on your goals. What are you hoping to achieve?

Then ask yourself if you action is going to help or hurt you. If you were to do this every single time you are about to do something you know you shouldn’t, you will have much more self-discipline.

  • Reward Yourself

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Reward yourself when you stay on track. If you’re on a diet, and you watch your calories successfully for a week, treat yourself to a movie or buy something to reward your efforts.

Do not buy cake and gorge yourself though. Don’t reward yourself with food. You’re not a household pet. Your rewards should not detract you from your goals.

  • Roll With The Punches

It’s inevitable to slip up now and then. If you eat something you shouldn’t or you go to the pub with friends when you should have been working on your online business, that’s a slip up.

Acknowledge it and tell yourself you won’t repeat your mistake. Realign yourself with your goal and keep moving forward. Do not toss your entire diet just because you slipped up once.

  • Action Cures Inertia

No matter how ‘not in the mood’ you are in, always do something small that gets you started. Don’t feel like hitting the treadmill for 30 minutes? Just do 5 minutes Two notebooks with action plan written on the sidesthen. Once you get up and start doing it, you’ll probably complete all 30 minutes.

The key is to overcome your inertia. This is the biggest obstacle to progress. A rolling stone gathers no moss. Momentum is your best friend. Keep it going even if it means doing less than you’re supposed to. You’ll do your best once you start.

Now that you are armed with these 5 tips, do apply them and you will see rewards. Always remember that self-discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments and if you don’t rule your mind, it will rule you.

“With self-discipline most anything is possible.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Incidental activity is very important in the process of losing weight as you can burn more calories than relying on dietary means alone. Fat is burned from the body when cells oxidize to release energy in the form of exercise or movement. When the exercise is done slowly to moderately then the majority of energy is taken from the fat stores.

No Such Thing As Spot Reduction

The loss of fat comes from fat cells all over the body, not from one or more specific area’s so spot reduction of a certain area is not possible. The main priority of this article is to show you the quickest and safest way to lose fat from the body.

The key to effective aerobic training that burns off the maximum amount of fat is long-term consistency not intensity. It doesn’t matter if you run a mile, jog a mile or walk a mile you will burn exactly the same amount of calories.

Fast Walking is Outstanding!

The best exercise by far for the purpose of fat-loss is fast walking either indoors Person walking in the woodson the treadmill or outdoors. What many don’t know is that walking produces a greater percentage of fat loss as opposed to jogging or running. Other aerobic activities are the treadmill, bike, climber or any other training gear found in or out of the gym.

Walk or exercise until you are mildly puffing and hold that rate until the allotted time. If your aerobic activities leave you panting or breathless, your going too hard, your energy is coming from your carbohydrate reserves and not from your fat stores. Try fast walking for one hour a day every day of the week if you are able.

Here are some of the benefits of Fast Walking:

Easy to Perform
Most Conventional
All Natural Body Movement
Doesn’t Cause Injuries
Can Be Done Anywhere
The Best Minimal Effort Exercise for Fat Loss
Research shows that regular, brisk walking is one of the best exercises we can do for overall fitness. It suits people of all ages and fitness levels, it’s easy to get started and there’s no complicated technique to learn or equipment to buy.

Walking is an excellent way to get fit because it uses nearly all the muscles and, as you have to carry your body weight, you can get a good workout from it.

It’s also safer on the joints and the back than most other forms of exercise because you’re not jumping up and down, so the impact is low.

Reduce Your Risk Of Heart Attack

Studies have shown that taking a daily 20-minute walk can reduce the risk of heart attack as much as 50%, it also reduces high blood pressure and helps to burn fat to keep weight under control.

Walking and other weight bearing exercises (Strength training) helps to increase bone mass, which protects against osteoporosis and bone fractures.

In the first two weeks, go for a 20-minute walk every other day and then increase Heart Healththis to 40 minutes. At first try to do five 20-minute walks per week totalling 100 minutes a week. Once you get used to the regular exercise, increase this to 40 minutes for five times a week.

You can then gradually increase this as you see fit, if you want to walk every day for 40 minutes or even an hour so be it. Remember the more you walk the more fat that will be burned off. The best pace for fitness training will make you slightly breathless, but you should still be comfortable and be able to carry on a conversation.

As you get fitter, you’ll want to stretch a little harder to keep your heart rate up. Try lengthening your strides, increasing your pace. Keep your shoulders back, your chest lifted and your tummy pulled in when you walk, hold your head up for open, easy breathing.

Practical Tips…

If your feeling stressed, try counting your steps repeatedly from one to ten as you safety firstwalk, this helps some people achieve a meditative effect and can be a great tension reliever when practiced over a full 40 minutes.

Time yourself, measure the distance or increase the gradient to make the workout more challenging. Drink plenty of fluids during and after your walk.

Safety First

Make safety your first consideration. Don’t walk after dark except in well-lit, busy places. Start the walk slowly, and then gradually increase the pace.
In all other activities try to move, move, move. Try parking the car further away from your destination so you can walk the extra distance, hide all your remote controls so you have to get up and change the channels manually. These all help burn those extra calories and body fat from your frame.

Exercise For More Energy

This day and age it can be very difficult indeed to
Adults jogginggo to the gym. Life is very hectic and busy, which will create a serious challenge for remaining  consistent with exercise each day. Exercise is however, just what we all need to reduce stress, and give the body the extra energy it needs to carry out normal living.

The best results of exercise are achieved through the use of refined techniques, functional exercises, cardio, the right nutrition, variety, awareness,
consistency, and motivation over a period of time.

The refined techniques mean correct form to isolate muscles or to target areas of man squatting weightsthe body. Efficiency is need to ensure stimulation of the muscles. With
weight lift training, which is also known as resistance training, you’ll need to eliminate any type of momentum.

It is also important to move the weight about using a full range of motion. Full range of motion causes the muscle to contract for the right amount of time
and help to ensure the right length of the tendons. The goal here is to strengthen the joints of your body by stimulating the muscles.

Cadence is also helpful, as it is a term that refers to the rate in which the resistance or the weight moves. The best results with cadence are gained
by slow movements which will cause the muscle to contract for a longer period of time. You can mix in a series of fast and slow cadence,
which is very beneficial with sports type training.

Using the correct angles will achieve muscle isolation in target areas and help to decrease the risk of injuries, which is great for those using heavy weights.

Functional type exercise is a popular technique that will stimulate the core and man and woman lifting weights sitting on an exercise ball.torso of your body while you work on another muscle group at
the same time. As an example, when you perform a dumbbell press while lying on an exercise ball.

Your abdominal muscles and the core muscles will contract to hold your body into this position, while your chest and tricep muscles will push the
dumbbells up. This type of exercise and challenge will cause maximum stimulation to your body and keep the workout interesting and refreshing.

Cardio is another exercise that is great for the heart and lungs. The total number of calories you burn is very important along with maintaining
the right heart rate. The formula for your heart rate is 220 minus your age times 60 for the lower number, then 220 minus you age and
times 80 for the upper number.

This is also known as fat burning zone. Cardio will also de-toxify the body and help to strengthen the immune system along with other benefits. The
muscles will contract and pass the lymph along, which will allow the immune system to clear away dead cells and bring new ones in.

Anytime you exercise, warming up is very important, as it will prepare your body for the more demanding workout of cardio. You should always
allow 15 – 30 minutes prior to weight lifting and 10 – 15 minutes prior to cardio exercises. You should also stretch as well, as this will help
get the blood flowing through your muscles and get them limber as well.

An ideal schedule for working out is to warm up then follow with cardio. You can woman power liftinglift weights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday then cardio
only on Tuesday and Thursday.

Even though you may think your schedule is simply too busy to maintain a schedule for working out, you’ll find that adding exercise will actually add
more time, as you’ll have a lot more energy in your normal everyday life. You can think of exercise as the batteries that will help to give
your life power.

Have A Great day!
